Bangladesh bowlers appeared to have learnt the lessons from the first ODI as they dismissed New Zealand for a manageable 251 off the last ball of the innings in the second ODI at the Saxton Oval in Nelson today.
Bangladesh have made three changes with wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan coming in place of injured Mushfiqur Rahim, leg-spinner Tanbir Hayder taking the place of an out-of-form Soumya Sarker and young pace bowler Subashis Roy in lieu of Mustafizur Rahman. All three entrants will be making their ODI debuts.
The team management have decided to rest Mustafizur, who is yet to regain his full fitness as far as fielding is concerned.
Mashrafe has decided to field in cloudy conditions. This is a ground that produces a lot of runs and out of the six games it was the chasing team that have won on five occasions.
