PM donates families of victim cops in militant attacks

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday gave donation of Tk 50 lakh to the family members of four policemen who were killed in terror attacks at Holey Artisan Bakery in Gulshan and Sholakia Eid Jamaat in Koshoregonj in July last.
The Prime Minister handed over nine cheques of Tk 50 lakh among the family members of the deceased policemen at Prime Minister's Office, PM's press secretary Ihsanul Karim said.
Senior Assistant Superintendent of Detective Branch (DB) Rabiul Karim and officer-in-charge of Banani Police Station Salauddin Khan were killed in the attack at Holey Artisan café on July 1, 2016. Constable Zahurul Haque and Constable Ansarul Haque were killed in another terror attack at Sholakia Eid Jamaat on July 7.
Kariman Nesa, mother of Rabiul Karim, his father Sajedul Islam, his wife Umme Salma, Begum Rem Karim, wife of Salauddin, their daughter Samanta, son Sem Raiyan, Rebeya Akhter, mother of constable Ansarul Haque, his wife Nurunahar Begum and Zubaida Khatun, mother of Zahirul Islam, received the cheques.
The Prime Minister consoled the family members of the policemen as they broke into tears while receiving the cheques.
